Echternach Classic
The Roman basilica with the tomb of Saint Willibrord, the exterior of the Benedictine Abbey, Saint Peter and Paul church and the market square with “Denzelt” are included in this visit of the eldest city of Luxembourg.

 The Basilica Echternach
With its unique architecture, the Basilica is considered as one of Luxembourg’s most important religious monuments. With texts, paintings and films the Documentation Centre features the Dancing Procession which, in 2010, became part of UNESCO’s Intangible World Cultural Heritage. This small museum is situated in a side aisle of the church.

Saint Peter and Paul church Echternach
With ist Merovingian, Roman and Gothic style elements this church built on an ancient Roman castellum is worth a visit. Interestingly, there is a Roman fountain inside the church.

From the Villa Epternacus until the abbay town in the Middle Ages
On this thematic tour, the visitor will discover the origin of the city of Echternach from Roman times until the late Middle Ages.

The Museum of the Abbey Echternach
This museum shows the history of the famous Echternach School with facsimilés of beautiful gospels realized in the abbey scriptorium (Codex aureus). A section informs about Willibrord’s life and era.

The Museum of Prehistory Echternach
The museum shows the technical evolution of lithic tools and weapons over a period of more than a million years. Some rare artefacts are shown as well as some models of stonge-age machinery. Acopy of the oldest Luxembourgish, the "Loeschbuermann" can be seen as well as fine examples of late 18th century porcelain produced in the basilica.

The Roman Villa and the museum
Outside, you can admire the rests of one of the biggest Roman villas (5th century) north of the Alps. In the small museum, scenes of every-day life of the Romans are reproduced.

Trifolion
Outstanding architecture of the cultural, tourist and congress center. Events of all kinds take place here. The big concert hall can take up to 700 persons, there are also smaller rooms for seminars and workshops.
