Showcase | piano four hands

The young siblings Zala and Val Kravos impress their audience with their talent and musical maturity. The two are primarily active as soloists, but also perform regularly as duets and duos, where their fusional relationship is particularly striking. As a piano duo, they received their diploma with "great distinction" from the Luxembourg City Conservatory in 2019. In 2021, they recorded their first album together in Germany, featuring music for piano four hands, including a composition written for them by French composer Françoise Choveaux.

Born in Slovenia and raised in Luxembourg, the siblings both enjoyed their musical education at the Conservatoire in Luxembourg, after which Zala Kravos continued her studies under Maria João Pires and Louise Lortie at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth (Brussels) and in 2019 at the Royal College of London. She has participated in numerous international competitions and was invited to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in 2016. In 2018, she was the only teenager nominated for the Export Artist of the Year award in Luxembourg. She completes numerous international performances each year. Her first solo album, recorded in 2017, received critical and media praise in numerous European countries.

Val Kravos studied at Musica Mundi in Brussels under Jacques Rouvier and is currently continuing his training at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. In addition to performing as a duet and duo with his sister, he has participated in numerous competitions and won, among others, the Luxembourg competition for young soloists. He performs regularly with other instrumentalists in chamber music. Since 2021 he has been playing in various formations (solo, duet, duo and orchestra) in Europe and at festivals.
