Local Cycle Path Berdorf-Consdorf-Bech

Local Cycle Path Berdorf-Consdorf-Bech

An itinerary consisting of four loops is linking the municipalities of Berdorf, Consdorf and Bech invites you to discover the region with its impressive rock formations on your bike.

This cycle track through a region partly made of massive rocks mainly follows secondary roads and country lanes with little traffic. On some very nice sections, this circuit is identical with the Echternach-Luxembourg Cycle Path.

Sights: ancient oak “Bildchen” and village chapel “St Margaret” near Hersberg, airborne bomb memorial in Consdorf, unspoiled areas as far as one can see, shadowy gorges and narrow canyons.

Itinerary

From Scheidgen, the tour leads north and follows the national cycle path PC 2. After passing through the "Canyon", turn left up to the plateau of Kalkesbaach. After a round on the plateau, you reach Berdorf. The tour then takes you to the farms of Birkelt and Hammhaff, then back to Berdorf and to Kalkesbaach. From there, you cycle to Dosterterhaff and on to Consdorf. From Consdorf you cyle down to Konsdreffer Millen, an old mill that now houses a restaurant. Once back on the plateau, the tour continues through the small towns of Colbette, Kobebour and Hersberg and then passes Luxembourg's oldest tree, the "Bildchen" oak near Altrier. Via Zittig and Bech, past the Becher Gare and through the tunnel of Bech, you cycle back to Scheidgen.
