L5 The Discovery Tour
General information
You will ride the first 25 km of this tour comfortably, on the cycle path along the Sûre and the Moselle. The interactive "Musée Tudor" about electricity in Rosport and the pilgrimage chapel at Girsterklaus near Hinkel are just a few 100 m away from the tour. In Mertert, you will leave the official cycle path to ride over a quiet village road to Manternach, then through the wild and romantic valley of the Syre until Biwer. After that comes a long and permanent ascent until Consdorf. A rapid descent leads through shady wooden passages and along rock formations towards Echternach. After an extra lap around the lake of Echternach, you will finish in Echternach after varied 60 km. In the abbey town, you can relax on one of the terraces of the cafés and restaurants on the medieval market square.
