M2 Up and Down
General information
The name of the tour is no coincidence: several ascents and descents challenge the real athlete! The tour starts in Medernach and then constantly rises through the valley of the White Ernz until Larochette. On secondary roads, you continue through Haller and Waldbillig until Christnach. The tour continues with scenic variation and passes through several villages like Bech and Consdorf. After 42 km, you reach Berdorf from where a steep descent past unique rock formations leads you to the valley of the Black Ernz. After a short flat section, you climb up until the plateau of Beaufort. Shortly after "Beeforterheed", the tour leads downhill towards Reisdorf with great views over the Sûre. The last climb comes after Reisdorf and it leads along the White Ernz uphill until Folkendange and Ermsdorf back to Medernach.
