S1 Highlight Tour
General information
This 74 km long tour starts in Scheidgen and leads along numerous regional highlights. The first section passes through a forest towards Echternach. The oldest town in Luxembourg is worth a visit. After a short part along the Sûre, the tour takes you up along impressive rock formations to the village of Berdorf. Close to renowned rock formations like "Predigtstuhl", the tour leads to the next plateau which is in Beaufort. The medieval castle, which is only 800 m away from the route, is worth a visit. The regional blackcurrant liqueur "Cassero", still produced in the castle, is a good souvenir! Over quiet secondary roads, you reach Reisdorf. The tour continues through the valley of the White Ernz until Medernach. From there, you get via Heffingen, Christnach and Consdorf back to your starting point.
