This trail first guides you alongside the fish ponds of the former mill of Consdorf. A wide, almost even forest path leads into the back valley of the Dosbaach to the impressive rock formation Rammelee. A short but slightly exhausting climb will bring you to a viewpoint over the spectacular rock plain. The C5 trail now meanders between countless rock blocks that have been shaped by millions of years of erosion. The path comes across a very rugged rock face with manifold signs of erosion and an abundant flora such as the European holly (ilex aquifolium). You will soon reach the Schelmelee, one of the typical overhanging rocks which have served as shelter for humans from the stone age up until the recent past. A wooden bridge allows you to cross the Alsbaach without getting your feet wet. After climbing up many steep stairs you will then get to the ridgeway, which guides you into a rock labyrinth full of stairs and the narrow passageway Buddelerkummer. The massive rock blocks such as the Päerdskapp (head of a horse), curious shapes of erosion and gaping crevices are impressive due to their astonishing diversity and appearance. After descending into the valley Biersbaach, the last ascent is waiting for you up to the edge of the stacked rock faces of Buergkapp, formerly a significant fortified refuge. Having crossed in between two narrow crevices on the western side, you get back starting point down in the valley.
