Cycle path de la Moyenne Sûre (PC 16)

Start: Reisdorf
Linking “Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland” with the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, this path runs alongside the romantic Sûre river in its green setting, then crosses the bustling cities of Diekirch and Ettelbruck. It is well worth stopping to enjoy the terraces, cafés, little museums and enticing shops.
Afterwards, the landscape changes: you go back up the slopes of the Ardennes, from where you can revel in spectacular views over the steep-sided, green valley of the Sûre, dominated by the magnificent fortress of Bourscheid. Near the village of the same name, perched on a sprawling, meadow-covered plateau, a wide panorama stretching to the south of the Grand Duchy unfurls before your eyes (place known as Napoleonsbam). The route ends with a rapid descent into the Sûre valley towards Goebelsmuhle station where you can catch a train.
