The Pavés d'Echternach are with nougat coated chocolate pralines that are patented and produced only by Chocolaterie Pâtisserie Thinnes in Echternach. The nougat used in Pavés has a very mild flavor and is made with twice the amount of honey instead of sugar which is one of the secrets of this recipe. The Chocolaterie Thinnes works with various types of honey that stem from a regional beekeeper in Luxembourg. His honey bears the quality label of the Marque Nationale. The almonds, pistachios and walnuts are selected and peeled by hand. For the coating of the praline, pure organic and Fairtrade quality chocolate is used. The Pavés d'Echternach are free of baking improvers, flavorings, colorings and preservatives.
