SUMMER AM NATUR- & GEOPARK MËLLERDALL
Guided tours in the Mullerthal Region from 15th July
The Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region is offering along with the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall four different kind of guided tours this summer in the area of the UNESCO Global Geopark* candidate. These tours run from July 15th to September 13th.
On Saturdays 25.7, 1.8., 8.8. 29.8. and 5.9. there is a geological hike for families to the Hëlt in Rosport. Departure is at 10 a.m. at the kiosk next to the adventure playground in Sauerpark. The tour leads through an enchanted forest with spectacular rock formations and through vineyards. The Hëlt is also one of the 22 geotopes defined by the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall. For the 4 km long, quite steep hike, you should plan up to 3 hours.
Due to the current situation, participants have to register in advance. The visits are being held in Luxembourgish&German, not more than 20 people are allowed. Cost: 5 € for adults, children and adolescents up to 16 years participate for free.
* The Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall (abbreviated: NGPM) aims to become a member of the international network of UNESCO Global Geoparks. A UNESCO Global Geopark uses its geological heritage in conjunction with all other aspects of the natural and cultural heritage of the region to promote awareness and understanding of key issues in society.
