My Olympus
Sara Gilis & Jeff Herr
With this project, Sara Gilis (B) and Jeff Herr (LUX) give a voice to several strong women from Greek mythology. We all know someone who has the childlike enthusiasm of Persephone, the irrepressible dynamism of Artemis, the benevolent nature of Demeter,...
.
Sara was intrigued by this theme and looked for common ground. The writing process turned out to be an introspective journey and a reflection on the inspiring encounters that have marked the path. The stage is now a playground, samples and field recordings glue fantasy and sound together. My Olympus is an instrumental adventure that leaves room for experimentation, improvisation and a good dose of imagination.
