Excellent Wind is a symphonic wind orchestra founded by conductor Stefan Grefig, bringing together musicians from the Greater Region, including Rhineland-Palatinate, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Saarland. Our orchestra promotes cross-border collaboration and cultural exchange, which makes our performances truly unique.
We present symphonic works at the highest level, creating an emotional atmosphere that deeply resonates with the audience through our passion. As an independent orchestra—both structurally and financially—we offer musicians the opportunity to showcase their exceptional musical talents and dedication on a project-by-project basis.
In addition to concerts, we are committed to fostering young musicians and supporting cultural diversity in our region.
A highlight of the evening will be David Maslanka's Symphony No. 4. This centerpiece of the concert will be presented as the powerful voice of the Earth, conveying an unwavering message of the unity of humanity. Maslanka describes his Fourth Symphony as “the full expression not only of human energy but also of a higher energy.”
