Principles Of Joy is the hottest Soul combo coming from Q-Sounds Recording’ studios, the One & Only French Soul label since 2009.

P.O.J first started in 2017. It's a mix of original members of QSounds’ crew and newcomers, leaded by Ludo Bors, Keyboard player, composer and founder member of the label. Fronted by Soul Sister Rachel Yarabou, the band plays a Deep and intensive Soul mixing southern mid tempos & Northern Soul floor fillers. Their compositions are written by the duo Ludovic Bors/Christelle Amoussou.

The Principles of Joy discography is made of a two 7inch (2018, 2024) and 3 albums (2019, 2022, 2024). These records were playlisted on major radio shows like the Carl Craig Funk & Soul Show on BBC6, Radio Krimi, FIP (French National Network) and many other soul shows around the world. The band even had an appearance on

French National Television (France Ô - Témoins d’Outre-Mer - June 2019).

After releasing their second album they toured in Europe (Germany/Switzerland/Netherland) in April 2022 with Timmion's Soul artist Carlton Jumel Smith. they had anotherTour accross Germany & France in April/May 2023 and played as Soul Headliner at Freedom Sound Festival in Köln in April 2023.

After their acclaimed 3rd album (nominated for the Critics Choice Award of SchallplattenKritik Deutschland), they toured accross Germany for 2 weeks in May 2024, and are programmed in many festivals in France & Germany.

Their first recorded Live album ( Live At CXVIII) will be released on Q-Sounds Recording in April 2025.

Five billion years ago the universe experienced a ''cosmic jerk'. Before then the combined gravity of the galaxies and everything else in the cosmos was resisting the expansion, slowing it down. Since the jerk though, the universe has been speeding up.

Cosmic Jerk proposes to speed you up too. The band plays a fusion of pop, soul, funk and many other styles. The fusion of styles colors the sound and groove, making a powerful and danceable combination. Most of the songs are born in the creative mind of their front man Aydin Bilis, with the rest of the band adding their own groovy touch.
