Le bloc de roche rappelle les efforts de défence des soldats américains
Ce bloc de roche à Lauterborn rappelle les courageux soldats américains qui ont défendu la colline 313 contre l'armée allemande, en décembre 1944, et qui ont ainsi pu stopper leur progression vers la ville de Luxembourg.
Ce petit monument reste un souvenir des soldats qui ont perdu leur vie ici, sur ce terrain vallonné, pour la libération de leur patrie luxembourgeoise.
“Hill 313 was stragically important as the Germans launched their final assault (Battle of the Bulge). Unfortunately, the unit positioned on this hill was largely destroyed.
