On the first weekend of August, Echternach invites you to the eighth edition of its Steampunk Convention. Under the motto “The Transformation of the Little Marquise”, the historic market square will become the stage for a captivating journey into an alternative, nostalgically inspired era.
Steampunk combines the aesthetics of the Victorian age with imaginative, retro-futuristic visions of technology. Visitors can look forward to a unique atmosphere filled with steam engines, elaborate costumes, gears, and frills.

Live music by the steampunk band Tales of Nebelheym

Photo sessions at historical locations:
- Saturday & Sunday at 2:30 PM (Church of St. Peter & Paul)
- Saturday & Sunday at 4:30 PM (Basilica & Abbey)
- Costume contest on Saturday at 6:00 PM, right on the market square
Numerous market stalls will offer steampunk accessories, arts and crafts, and culinary delights. At the same time, a flea, vintage, and antique market will take place in the park along the Sauer promenade — perfect for browsing and treasure hunting.
The event welcomes steampunk enthusiasts, culture lovers, and anyone curious to experience a special journey through time.
