Discovery in Sempé's art world

For children aged 6 and over

The performance of ‘ENFANCE’ promises an unforgettable journey into the world of childhood. In a wordless symbiosis of dance and acrobatics, four circus artists, actors and dancers unfold a magical physical story full of emotion, inspired by the expressive drawings of the famous illustrator Jean-Jacques Sempé (1932–2022). In addition, the Compagnie Zig Zag Création offers an exciting watercolour workshop for children, which provides a deep insight into Sempé's artistic world. .

Jean-Jacques Sempé is famous for Le Petit Nicolas, which he created together with René Goscinny in the 1960s. His work is incredibly extensive and international! He holds the record for the most covers of The New Yorker magazine, and his drawings have been published in numerous newspapers. His graphic style is his trademark, ranging from black-and-white line drawings to colourful watercolours. Cie. Zig Zag invites you to discover the world of this artist and then introduce yourself to watercolour painting ‘à la Sempé’ in a very empirical way.

For visitors who would like to attend the workshop in addition to the performance of ENFANCE on 04.10.2025, a combo ticket. is available.
