Kinga Głyk is a Polish bassist and composer who is one of the outstanding talents on the European jazz scene. Born in Silesia in 1997, she comes from a musical family: her father, Irek Głyk, is a well-known jazz drummer with whom she performed as a child. At the age of twelve, she was already playing drums with her brother in the family project “Glyk P.I.K. Trio”.

Her instrument is her central means of expression: "My instrument is my voice. And anyone who has seen me live understands that."
.
Kinga Głyk has largely acquired her style self-taught, supported and inspired by her father, without attending a classical music school. She emphasizes how important it is to her to remain authentic when playing: “You always have to play exactly what you feel.”
Her previous albums include “Rejestracja”, “Happy Birthday”, “Dream”, ‘Feelings’ (2019) and the current album “Real Life” (2024), which is considered her most personal work to date. She has already toured numerous European countries and internationally and is considered an inspiration for young musicians, especially in the field of jazz.
Kinga Głyk stands for modern, groove-oriented jazz, in which the electric bass takes center stage as a melodic instrument. Her playing is characterized by virtuosity, emotionality and an unmistakable sound of her own.
