The Geo-Expo tells of the formation of the geological subsoil as a seabed and of the shaping of the landscape after the seabed became solid land. It takes up the human utilization of natural resources from the Stone Age to modern times and explains the formation of the cultural landscape with its multitude of ecological niches.
