Discover the traces of the past in the Mullerthal Region

In addition to its castles and fortresses, the Mullerthal Region is also rich in archaeological treasures that bear witness to its long and fascinating history. Ancient settlements, Roman foundations and medieval remains tell stories of everyday life, craftsmanship and faith over the centuries.

Particularly remarkable are the archaeological discoveries around the former “Petite Marquise” in the heart of Echternach, where remains from the 7th and 8th centuries were uncovered on the marketplace. Other highlights include the Roman Villa in Echternach and the legendary Loschburmann.
