Christnach is located in the municipality of Waldbillig in the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. The village is particularly known for its well-preserved traditional centre and is a fine example of Luxembourg's rural architecture. Its large historic farmhouses, with spacious courtyards enclosed by buildings, remain a defining feature of the village.

One of the main attractions is Golf Christnach, whose extensive grounds blend harmoniously into the green landscape between Christnach and Waldbillig. Surrounded by forests and meadows, the golf course offers a peaceful, natural setting for golf enthusiasts.

Hiking enthusiasts can also explore the surrounding countryside on various trails. The approximately 4 km long Bee Educational Trail between Waldbillig and Christnach uses sculptures and information panels to introduce visitors to honeybees and their importance to people and nature. This family-friendly circular trail starts at the primary school in Waldbillig and partly follows the edge of the Christnach golf course.

Another hiking option is the approximately 12.5 km long local circular trail W8, which leads from Mullerthal across the open plateau to Christnach. This varied route connects the rural landscape around the village with the forests and rock formations in the valley of the Black Ernz, passing attractions such as the Kalktuffquelle (tufa spring) and the Schiessentümpel waterfall.

Christnach thus offers a special combination of traditional cultural heritage, natural attractions and outdoor activities in the Mullerthal Region.
