Not far from the village lies Rippiger Gare, the former railway station of Rippig. It was located on the former railway line towards Echternach, parts of which are now used as a cycling and hiking route.
The Local Hiking Trail J22 also leads to Rippiger Gare. The approximately 4.8-kilometre circular trail partly follows the former railway line before passing the distinctive transmission masts near Beidweiler and returning through open meadows.
The small chapel is also part of Rippig’s traditional village landscape. With its peaceful setting and connection to the former railway line, Rippig reveals a rural side of the Mullerthal Region.
