Guided geological tour - Mensch und Stein Beaufort

The group is hiking on the geological trail “Mensch und Stein” in Beaufort which leads to an open quarry. The Luxembourg sandstone was taken out here. The guide provides explanations about geology and sandstone, the exploitation and use of the stones. The former narrow-gauge railway from Beaufort will also be discussed. The start of this hike is at the youth hostel in Beaufort.
