Cruchten lies in the Alzette valley and is surrounded by a rural landscape of meadows, fields and wooded slopes.
Cruchten lies in the Alzette valley in the west of the Mullerthal Region. Historic houses, traditional farmsteads and the Plague Chapel dating from 1661 recall the history of the village.
Cruchten has a railway station, making it a convenient starting or finishing point for hikes and excursions by public transport. CFL Hiking Trail 13 between Colmar-Berg and Mersch runs through the Alzette valley and offers the possibility of starting or ending the hike at Cruchten railway station.
For cyclists, the national cycle path PC15 follows the Alzette and connects Cruchten with places including Mersch and Colmar-Berg.
