Rock formation "Huel Lee/Hohllay"

Fascinating cave created by the extraction of millstones.

The Huel Lee (which means "hollow stone“) is a rock hollowed out by man. Already the Romans have gained their stones in this area for their buildings. In the Middle Ages, the mills of the Oeren Monastery (near Trier) were obliged to use only millstones from this quarry.

The Huel Lee can be hiked via the local hiking trail E1 and the Auto-Pédestre trail Berdorf. The Huel Lee lies directly on Route 2 of the Mullerthal Trail.

Closest bus stop: Berdorf, Hotel Pérékop (500m)
Closest parking lot: Huel Lee/Amphitheater (200m)
