On the shores of a mysterious lake, Siegfried meets Odette, a young woman cursed to take the form of a swan. A love blossoms between them, one powerful enough to challenge the dark magic of Rothbart. But the arrival of Odile, the seductive Black Swan, transforms the promise of happiness into a game of deception, intrigue and fate. It is a story of love and fidelity, in which light confronts darkness and hope endures against all odds.

The intense and deeply moving music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky accompanies every moment of the story. Its melodies express what words cannot: Odette’s tenderness, Siegfried’s passion, Odile’s allure and the mysterious atmosphere of the lake. Music and movement merge, transporting the audience through a succession of images that are both poetic and powerful.

The choreography transforms the gestures and lines of the human body into the lightness and elegance of a swan. The harmony of the corps de ballet, the precision of the movements and the fluidity of the dancers’ arm movements create striking images on stage, particularly in the lakeside scenes and the famous Dance of the Little Swans, one of the best-known and most technically demanding moments in classical ballet.
