Parts of the historic village centre have been preserved, with small lanes and old farmhouses.

The Local Hiking Trail H1 starts directly in Heffingen. This circular hike leads across open fields with views of Heffingen, through forests and via Reuland back to the starting point.

Along the way, the trail passes the Héikräiz. This historic stone cross stands on an elevated plateau and offers a 360° view of the surrounding landscape.
