Description
This route offers, in addition to a challenging altitude profile, bizarre rock formations of the "Little Luxembourg Switzerland" and passes through a variety of small villages.
Starting from Echternach Lake, the route first climbs uphill via Osweiler to Herborn. The first descent comes shortly before Herborn. Then it continues on lightly trafficked roads to Junglinster. About half of the route is now completed. The route continues via Heffingen and Christnach to the heart of the Mullerthal region. Shortly before Waldbillig, it goes downhill for several kilometers into the valley of the Schwarze Ernz. Then follows a strenuous 5 km climb to the plateau of Berdorf, past the famous rock "Priedegtstull." The last 10 km of the route are less strenuous and lead downhill over Consdorf back to Echternach.
