Race bike tours Visit Luxembourg
Description
This tour offers a challenging height profile, shows the bizarre rock formations of "Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland" and passes through a variety of small, typical villages.
From the starting point of the Echternach lake, the tour first leads uphill to Osweiler and Herborn. The first downhill passage is just before Herborn. The tour then continues on small roads with little traffic until Junglinster where about half of the tour is done. The tour continues towards Heffingen and Christnach into the heart of the Mullerthal Region. Just before Waldbillig, you ride downhill for several kilometers into the valley of the Black Ernz and then take a strenuous 5 km long climb until the plateau of Berdorf, passing the famous rock formation "Priedegtstull". The last 10 km of the tour are less stressful and lead downhill over Consdorf back to Echternach.
