Description
Circular hiking route "NaturWanderPark delux: Felsenweg 4"
This route requires some stamina – so either get up early or plan two days for this varied route. The reward is a multifaceted natural experience with blooming meadows, stately beech forests, and bizarre rock formations. On the sun-warmed Muschelkalk slopes, wild orchids thrive, while mosses, lichens, and ferns particularly enjoy the cool gorges. At night, the eagle owl hunts here, and during the day, the also extremely rare peregrine falcon. The Felsenweg follows many ascents and descents along the loops of the Sauer, repeatedly offering magnificent valley and panoramic views. At the Girsterklaus chapel, you can relax, as time seems to stand still here. Along the route is also Rosport, known for its excellent mineral water. The interactive museum in the Tudor castle in Rosport is especially popular with children.
