Description
From the capital through the modern Kirchberg district to the Müllerthal region with its spectacular rock formations - and all along the old narrow-gauge railway track "Charly"!
ATTENTION! PC 2 is diverted at several points. The detours are signposted locally.
The cycle path begins in the capital city of the country, Luxembourg City. Lovers of modern architecture will fully enjoy passing through the Kirchberg district.
After leaving the capital region behind, the landscape changes: you reach the "Little Luxembourg Switzerland." This area is characterized by dense forests with spectacular rock formations created by erosion. Whether dark, impressive rock crevices or magnificent waterfalls - this region offers remarkable natural landscapes in abundance.
The majority of the route runs along an old railway track, on which the "Chareli" operated until the late 1950s. Along the way, relics from this era can be discovered - including old station buildings and a tunnel about 200 meters long.
The route ends in Echternach, the historical and cultural capital of the region. Take the time to explore the abbey, the Roman villa, the city walls, and narrow alleys that make up the charm of this town, which has preserved a medieval flair.
