Moulin J. P. Dieschbourg
Where? 1, Lauterborn-Halte, L-6562 Echternach
Traditional milling and roasting since 1897, offering high-quality flours from regional grains and fair-trade organic Arabica coffees, defined by high quality, sustainable production and transparent origin.
Craftsmanship is their passion. Since 1897, Moulin Dieschbourg has been producing the finest flours of selected quality. Local grain is ground in the traditional mill using water power. Regular quality checks ensure that the flours have optimal, consistent baking properties.
The mill works with the best grain: Luxembourg wheat and rye from controlled cultivation with the ‘Produit du terroir’ label, which guarantees quality and transparency from the producer to the finished product for bakeries, restaurants and households. Regionality, respect for natural resources, sustainability and active environmental protection characterise the company's policy. For this reason, in addition to regional conventional products, organic agricultural products (organic and Demeter) are also processed.
Since summer 2011, the mill has owned a stone mill, which is used exclusively for the production of gluten-free flours. Selected highland coffees are roasted in the in-house roastery using traditional, gentle methods. In line with company policy, the highest quality is ensured when selecting green coffee beans.
Sustainable development, transparency and respectful treatment of people and nature are also of great importance in this area, which is why mainly Arabica coffees from fair trade and organic cultivation are processed. The range is complemented by regional honey from the mill's own hobby beekeeping, sold under the name “Hunneg vun der Dieschbourger Millen”. Here you can experience incomparable coffee enjoyment.
