The film "Dany Cage, A Story of Emancipation" will be screened at the legendary Flying Dutchman nightclub in Beaufort, where the fictional scenes were filmed, in July 2022.
This screening is part of the Flying Dutchman's 50th anniversary celebrations!

The club will be open after the screening, with DJ Dréi Dësch spinning the tunes (Unfiltered Rock, Alternative, Indie with a Throwback Rebel Streak).
“Dany Cage: A Story of Emancipation” is a docudrama directed by François Baldassare that retraces the birth, life, and demise of a psychedelic rock club in Luxembourg in the late 1960s: The Dany Cage, located on Rue Beaumont in the heart of Luxembourg City. This legendary venue existed only from 1969 to 1972, but it left a lasting mark on its contemporaries. It was the era of the Vietnam War, the Summer of Love, May '68, and Woodstock: young people yearned for greater freedom.

This documentary, constructed from a series of interviews with 18 witnesses from the time, as well as archival footage and fictional reenactments, shows how music played a decisive role in this process of emancipation.
