The title of the famous 1961 film also becomes the name of the concert presented by Luxembourg Philharmonia. Under the direction of Martin Elmquist, the orchestra invites the audience to discover two masterpieces by Johannes Brahms.
The main work of the evening, the “Double Concerto” for violin, cello, and orchestra in A minor, Opus 102 - the composer’s final orchestral work - is performed by two outstanding soloists: Constantin Riccardi and Nora Braun.

After the intermission, the program continues with Symphony No. 2 in D major, Opus 73, composed in 1877, revealing the full richness and depth of Brahms’s sound world.
